What American Independent Radio is

The movement for change has always started on the local level. It's the common thread that runs through the fabric of America. From the beginning of this country's history its people, the American people have used the power of grassroots to get its message out. From Paul Revere to Barack Obama the power that grassroots has and will always be the spark that ignites change. Real Change starts at the local level!

iClick2Media's American Independent Radio (AIR) purpose  when launched (fall 2009)  will give a space to those voices that don’t have access, the ability to have their opinions heard on today’s satellite and terestial radio. This modern day David has stood in the shadows of Goliath long enough. The time for all Americans who need a place to inform, educate, share ideas, concepts and be able to create a digital grassroots network is now.

iClick2Media's goal for AIR is to be the space where topics that covers news, political commentary, music, information and issues & concerns can be voiced for all to hear from those that are seldom if at all are heard. One of the key components of iClick2Media is the ability to stream radio and video to any internet based mobile device so anyone can get AIR on the go.

In a meeting on Tuesday March 23, subsequent filling on March 30, and April 13, 2009 iClick2Media submitted  a request to the FCC to be considered the Qualified Entity or Independent Trustee to manage, select, aggregate and prepare for transmission the content for the 24 channels created by the merger between the Sirius XM. 

If AIR is granted these channels (May 29, 2009) 12 of the channels will be non-commercial and the other 12 channels will be commercial giving AIR the ability to reach 19 plus million listener from around the country who currently are Sirius XM subscribers and the ability to add millions who now have a voice in the digital radio market.
